Version 0.3.0 introduces an update to the textboxes, and adds character portraits. This update also focuses on player direction, adding a 'how to play' section and improving upon the temporary help signs near the player spawn. Costs and strengths of upgrades have been balanced, as well as the resource cost of structures.
Changelog 0.3.0a ================== NEW FEATURES ================== - Added a new 'How to Play' section at the main menu. This is a temporary way for new players to learn the game. - Updated the icon images for the meta-upgrades. - Held resources are now saved when exiting the game through 'Save & Quit'. - Changed the appearance of Orion, the blacksmith. - Added a new textbox system that includes character portraits. - Crates and barrels now drop keys. - Zombies now have ~2% less chance to drop keys. - Created a crate for the upcoming upgrade 'Starting Resources'. - Updated credits - Brightened title screen - Slightly changed intro signs. These will be replaced in future updates. ================== BUG FIXES ================== - Fixed a bug where all weapons would show as a rusty sword when dropped. - Fixed a bug that caused coins to get stuck on top of water. - Zombies should no longer be able to walk through stumps, stone, and iron. - Fixed a bug that would cause the cursor to be invisible while the menus are open. - Fixed a typo in upgrades description. - Fixed a hilarious bug where a giant mouse cursor would invade the corner of a level. - The Miners pick no longer decays after sitting on the ground. - Ranged weapons no longer break crates and barrels while drawn. - Title music now stops when entering the game from the character select screen. - The Multi-tool level 2 no longer decays after sitting on the ground. - Fixed a tile depth issue in the Mineshaft. - Fixed a bug where exiting the Mineshaft caused the player to be sent to the wrong location. - Fixed a bug where the interact bubble for NPCs did not animate. - Current survivor variable will no longer be saved. - Fixed a bug where NPCs would not reset after death. - Fixed a bug where the player could move after death. ================== BALANCING ================== - Greatly reduced the cost of all tier 2 and tier 3 upgrades. - Increased the strength of most upgrades. - Reduced the resource cost of most structures. - Removed the iron requirement from lower level structures.
